I stream, You stream, We all scream for Livestream!

Today we discussed two streaming apps on the rise: Meerkat and Periscope. Streaming apps allow you to broadcast video to the web instantly. They turn you into a live-on-the-scene reporter similar to what you see on TV. In both cases, both apps post links to your Twitter feed that allow people to join and comment.

Thanks to all who participated in our MC409 MMR first livestream using the Meerkat app. Now everybody in the “livestream” pool!

Your assignment is to do a livestream with either Meerkat or Periscope during Mass Communications Day and write a blog post about your experience. So how did it go???
