The Tweet week assignment was a great way for me to interact with other media professionals. I followed some great news reporters and anchors and news orginaztions. I thought it would have been a bit difficult for me to remember to tweet about news stuff but it actually wasn’t. It was so easy. I didn’t have a problem tweeting or retweeting other people posts. Twitter during tweet week more than I would on a regular basis. I usually just get on Twitter or Facebook and read everyone else post but doing this assignment it actually made me tweet more. I didn’t just tweet personal things I tweeted informational things about things that’s going on around the world. I followed news organizations like CNN, WLBT, FOX, NABJ, WAPT etc. I also followed some media professionals and some followed me back like Kathy Times, NBC Shomari Stone, Hadas Brown (WAPT), Christina Palladino of WISN.

My tweet week experience was exciting, however, it didn’t differ much from my daily tweeting. I’m a faithful tweeter. I’m always open to debate about social issues and change. During tweet week I noticed the different topics that were being discussed through CNN News Source, The Clarion Ledger, and other sources. Social media is the very first place we as a generation learn news due to the popularity of outlets: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. These media friendly sites helps us to remain cognitive of what’s going on in the world around us.

My tweet week was exciting. I got a chance to tweet about the super bowl. Super bowl weekend is always fun. People are excited! And the social media blows up with excited fans all over the world. It’s pretty cool to connect with people and to keep them on stand by with what’s going on. I tweeted about the scores and the celebrities that attended the Super bowl. Even though I didn’t get a chance to catch the whole game, keeping up with the scores definitely kept me interested. Next week will be another great week for tweeting.
