If you don’t have these skills, chances are you will not end up with a job. So ask yourself these questions:

  1. Can I shoot my own stories?
  2. Can I write a reader story, vo, vosot or package?
  3. Can I edit my own packages?
  4. Can I post a story or picture to the web?
  5. Can I use social media to help tell stories?
  6. Do I have an online portfolio?

This course will help you sharpen your skills to be able to answer yes to all the above questions so you can become a multi-talented and multi-platform journalist.  Your first assignment — Respond to the following poll:

Now…What’s your story???  Reply to this post in no more than 300 words about who you are, your passions and career goal(s). Tell me one skill you wish to sharpen this semester.
